Stop The Flavour Ban - Sign The Petition

Flavour is a game-changer, aiding countless individuals in kicking the habit of smoking, which tragically claims over 8 million lives each year as reported by the WHO. The looming threat of a flavourban isn't just about taste; it hits close to home for all of us. That's why we're standing up and fighting back with a petition. However, there's a real risk that our voices alone won't be enough to sway decision-makers. The proposed ban directly infringes upon the freedom of choice for adult vapers and overlooks the significant health benefits associated with flavoured e-liquids. We need your help.

When I say we - I mean the vape community as a whole - Vendors, Manufacturers and Customers.

Once again, our industry is in Danger, you may have heard about the upcoming Disposable Vape Ban, put forward by the UK Gov to “tackle youth vaping” (read: try to gain some votes) - I don’t think you will find too many people overly worried about this - but did you know the proposed measures are far more reaching than that and include :

A Tax of at least 25%

Our thoughts

Restrictions On E-liquid Flavouring  - This one is the most worrying - The Government is planning to restrict your flavours to Satright tobacco and menthol. All of us can say the main reason we gave in smoking was flavours, and what has kept us away from smoking is the flavours - to ban them would be catastrophic, both to all of us personally - and to prospective quitters. given the government's pledge for a smoke-free Britain - this doesn't seem very sensible. This issue is the industry’s primary concern.

Plain Packaging - It’s not ideal, and I can’t see a benefit from it - but in truth, it’s not the end of the world, I guess, more .. utterly pointless.

Vapes being hidden - Frankly - We think vapes should be in vape shops, I don’t think kids should be allowed in vape shops - problem solved. Taking vapes out of the corner shop would also go a long way to stopping kids from getting their hands on them. The legal ones, anyway. This also brings up the issue of illegal disposable vapes - A ban is not going to stop that - they already do not care that they are breaking the law. Again, enforcement in the first instance would have sorted this.

A Tax of at least 25%  - Clearly, no one wants this - and it makes no sense to tax a product that has successfully helped millions of smokers switch to a healthier lifestyle, so it looks like we may be funding the Government's immense financial COVID mistakes.

The Vape Community has once again banded together - like not seen since the advent of the TPD to try to combat this ridiculous flavour ban - and you can help.
