Outlaw DIY E-liquid Mixing Guide and Calculator

🏜️ Outlaw – The Manabush Concentrate Range
Born from necessity, Brewed in Defiance.

The Outlaw range from Manabush was created as a practical, cost-saving response to the incoming UK Vaping Products Duty. When that tax lands, big nicotine-containing bottles (especially shortfills) will get pricey. Outlaw keeps the flavour you love affordable — legally — by selling the nicotine-free base and letting you add your own nic.

TL;DR – Quick Links

What Is Outlaw?

Outlaw is a range of concentrated e-liquid flavour bases — the same Manabush profiles you already love — supplied in small bottles (typically 5 ml, 7.5 ml or 10 ml) of PG-based flavour concentrate.

  • You add VG, PG and nicotine to reach your preferred strength and ratio.
  • We also sell VG and PG bottles to make this easy.
  • Labels include gradient markers — handy guides but should be considered approximate. For accuracy, measure with syringes or mix by weight using digital scales (how we do it at Manabush).

Why “Outlaw”?

Because it gently skirts the system (legally). By selling the nicotine-free base and letting you add nic shots, we help you sidestep the worst of the new duty while keeping quality high and prices sensible. You’re not breaking the law — you’re just walking beside it, hat brim low.

How It Works

Each Outlaw bottle is designed to make a 30 ml final bottle (you can scale up if you like). Inside is PG-based flavour concentrate only. You add:

  • 18 mg nic shots — 50/50 VG/PG or 100% VG (beginner-friendly), or
  • 72 mg nicotine base — PG-based or VG-based (advanced users)

Our calculator shows the exact amounts to add for 3 mg, 6 mg, 12 mg, and 18 mg while keeping the finished liquid around 50/50 VG/PG. It also provides weights if you mix on scales.

Mixing Basics

  • All Outlaw concentrates are 100% PG.
  • To keep ~50/50 final ratio, the calculator may choose 50/50 nic shots, 100% VG shots, or a mix of both, then top up VG/PG as needed.

Mixing Guide (30 ml final bottle)

1) Before You Start

  • Your chosen Outlaw flavour concentrate (5–10 ml)
  • VG and PG base liquids
  • 18 mg nic shots (50/50 and/or 100% VG), or optional 72 mg base (PG or VG)
  • Measuring syringes or digital scales
  • Clean bottle (30 ml+), gloves, paper towels

Important: This is a concentrated product and must be diluted before use.

2) Using 18 mg Nic Shots (recommended)

Simple, safe, and reliable. Exact numbers depend on flavour volume (5/7.5/10 ml) — use the calculator for precision. Approximate 30 ml / 50:50 examples:

Target Nic Shot Type Shots (total ml) PG Add VG Add
3 mg 50/50 18 mg ~5 ml (half a shot( ~7.5 ml ~7.5 ml
6 mg 50/50 18 mg ~10 ml (1 shot) ~5 ml ~5 ml
12 mg Mixed (50/50 + 100% VG) 2 shots - 1x 100vg and 1 x 50/50vg 0 ml 0 ml
18 mg Only attainable with 72mg Nicotine see calculator see calculator

These are rounded for ease; the calculator provides exact ml and grams.

3) Using 72 mg Nicotine Base (advanced)

  • 72 mg PG base boosts PG; 72 mg VG base boosts VG.
  • The calculator compensates to keep your target ratio.
  • Always wear gloves and work carefully — 72 mg is potent.
Target Nic Base Type Nic Base PG Add VG Add
3 mg PG base ~1.25 ml ~13.75 ml ~15 ml
6 mg PG base ~2.5 ml ~12.5 ml ~15 ml
12 mg VG base ~5 ml ~10 ml ~15 ml
18 mg VG base ~7.5 ml ~7.5 ml ~15 ml

Use the calculator for exact values based on your flavour volume (5 / 7.5 / 10 ml) and preferred ratio.

4) Optional — Mix by Weight

  • PG ≈ 1.04 g/ml
  • VG ≈ 1.26 g/ml

Weigh directly into the bottle, tare after each addition. This is how we mix at Manabush for repeatable results.

Steeping (Or: Why We Don’t Believe in Magic)

There’s loads of bro-science about steeping: dark cupboards, sunny windowsills, ultrasonic baths, UV lamps… Most of it’s nonsense.

We blend in a clean-room. Both VG and PG are hygroscopic (they absorb moisture/contaminants). Constantly opening your bottle or leaving it uncapped defeats that cleanliness.

Let the mix rest for a few days to smooth out. If it tastes bad on day one, it won’t turn into gold later. These are proven Manabush flavours; we often vape ours within hours.

Safety & Quick-Check

  • Wear gloves when handling nicotine (especially 72 mg).
  • Mix in a clean, ventilated area.
  • Label every bottle with flavour, date, and strength.
  • Keep all components away from children and pets.
  • Shake thoroughly before first use.
  • Store upright, cool, and out of direct sunlight.

Warning: This is a concentrated product. Do not vape undiluted.

Outlaw Mixing Calculator

Use the calculator below for exact ml and gram values based on your bottle size, flavour volume (5 / 7.5 / 10 ml), and target strength/ratio. It can auto-select the best nic shots (50/50 vs 100% VG) or work with 72 mg PG/VG base for advanced users.

Beginner‑friendly, label‑accurate recipes. Defaults to 18 mg nic shots and auto‑picks shot type (50/50 or 100% VG) to hit 50/50 VG/PG. Concentrate must be diluted

Outlaw default is 30 ml, but you can change it.
All Outlaw concentrates are PG‑based. Quick presets:
